What Are Building Inspections?
When purchasing a new property, it is important that you know the real value of your investment. Your house may have the perfect design that you want, but there could be hidden defects that are only revealed through a complete building inspection. Our team at Termex Pest Management offers a thorough and detailed pre-purchase building inspection to guide buyers on what they can expect about the property they are planning to live in.
A building inspection is a visual assessment of the condition of a property. Termex Pest Management inspectors will examine selected structural elements and areas that can be safely accessed for defects and potential problems.
We employ non-invasive techniques for inspection and the areas to be checked usually include:
Building Inspection Reports
The focus of the inspection will be on the major defects evident during the inspection, which includes structural damages that are deemed to be hazardous to the occupants of the property. The inspector will leave comments as to why these are considered to be major defects. Minor defects, which are normally of property maintenance, will also be included.
The findings in the building inspection report only include defects and deficiencies that are found during the inspection, given the weather and other environmental conditions during the time of the inspection. If there are other signs of potential problems that were seen during the inspection, however, inspectors may state it in the report.
