Home Treatment Solutions
Termex offers safe solutions for treating any pest problem you have in your home. We provide solutions that are safe to use around your children and pets, so you do not have to worry about them getting sick from our treatments. The spray chemicals we use are odourless and colourless, so they should not affect anyone in your house nor stain your furniture, carpets or hard surfaces.
Along with chemical sprays, we also use bait traps as part of our pest control services. These traps help to capture rodents and insects so they can be easily removed from your home. The traps are both child- and pet-proof, so if they are found, they cannot be opened to expose any harmful mice or rats present.
When we treat your home, you do not have to clear out your cabinets as we can use gel instead of sprays. We suggest you move your furniture and personal belongings away from exterior walls, cover bird cages or fish bowls with a towel and do not allow your children or pets near treated surfaces until they are dry, which takes about two hours on a sunny day.
Along with the interior of your home, we will also treat your veranda, sheds, perimeter walls and external window frames. Since sprays can mark some window frames, please inform us if you do not want them treated. We offer a 12-month warranty on our pest control services, including treatment targeting ants.
Home Flea Treatments
We also offer treatments to help minimise the presence of fleas, including spraying the exterior perimeter of your home. As part of our interior treatment, we will agitate your carpets to help bring fleas to the surface, so that when we do spray, the treatment will be more effective. Our interior treatments generally last for 10 to 12 months, while exterior flea treatments will last about six months.
Before treating your home, we advise you to cover or remove bird cages and fish bowls. After we treat your home for fleas, you should wait until surfaces are dry to allow your children and pets near them, which takes about four to five hours on a sunny day. Wash all dog beds, vacuum your carpets and lounge furniture and dispose of the bag within the vacuum cleaner.
