Detecting termites in your property can be a tough job when done on your own. Most often, if your home is not being regularly inspected for pest problems, these termite infestations are left undiscovered until significant damage to property has been caused. And this could lead to more expensive repair costs.
At Termex Pest Management, we use the latest technologies for uncovering termite infestations– whether it is in your home or commercial property. The Termatrac T3i is our leading equipment for identifying termite problems and determining the location of their colony.
Not only does the Termatrac provide accurate results, it is also a non-invasive tool which allows our technicians to locate termite activities without the need of breaking into the wall or damaging the structure. This minimises the need for post-inspection repairs on your property.
The Termatrac T3i has three built-in components that can be used together for detecting and verifying the presence of termites, making it the most reliable termite detection tool in the industry.
How the Termatrac Works:
The device sends signals while scanning an area
If termite activity is detected, the reading is transmitted to a handheld display unit
The radar is then used to track and locate the entry points of termites without disturbing their activities
After the infestation has been located, the most effective treatment strategy will then be recommended and implemented. Because of the precise results from the Termatrac T3i, the estimate on the amount of chemicals to be used will be more accurate and, usually, less chemicals will be required. With all its built-in function, the Termatrac T3i speeds up the inspection process, wasting no time for immediate pest treatment.
The Termatrac T3i detection tool features a handheld display unit which uses the Bluetooth technology for transmitting data. The transmitted data and results of the inspection can be stored in the handheld device, which is later used for analysis and generation of reports.
Termatrac Detection Radar
For brick, masonry, timber, plasterboard, concrete and other common materials, the Termatrac Detection Radar can emit signals and scan through the material for potential termite activities. Once the specific location of the nest has been identified, the treatment can then be applied as needed without having to disrupt the pest activities, making the elimination process more efficient.
Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide
The thermal sensor in the Termatrac T3i allows our inspectors to track temperature variances within building materials. The device is pointed at the surface without the need for contact, and the surface is scanned for heat sources. Once risk areas of termite infestation have been identified, the detection radar is then used for double-checking the presence and specific location and entry points of termites.
Moisture Sensor
Commonly used on wood, drywall, brick and concrete, the moisture sensor scans for moisture levels in building materials. The presence of concentrated moisture levels can be a tell-tale sign of termite activities. Similar to the Thermal Sensor, the Termatrac Detection Radar will then be used to verify the presence of termites in areas that are suspected to be their nests. The moisture sensor features an easy to read display, which makes it easier to interpret the results, and a fast-scanning moisture analysis software.
Both the Remote Thermal Sensor and Moisture Sensor can be used for identifying risk areas of infestation before confirming and tracking termite activities.
